Families who live in poverty and struggle with hunger are unable to celebrate Thanksgiving or other holidays with their families with dignity. This year, we hope to increase the amount of food and toys distributed to food-insecure families in need.


Nearly 1 in 3 Bronx residents live below the poverty level. Of those living in poverty, more than 3 in 5 are children, nearly 1 in 3 are women, more than 1 in 8 are employed, and 1 in 4 are seniors, according to the US Census Bureau’s American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates (2001-2015).
